A typical bit of dialogue and the appropriate translation…
Evelyn: “Tan-eye snow wiff my blay-it?” (Can I snuggle with my blanket?)
Daddy: “Sure, honey.” (You can have anything you’d like. Would you like a pony, too, or a diamond?)
Evelyn: “Yaint you.” (Thank you.)
Daddy: “You’re welcome, sweetie.” (I can’t believe this angel has deigned to speak to me. I should be saying thank you.)
Worth capturing. Otherwise trying to recall such memories is as chasing smoke with a butterfly net.

I love Beber teen too
And day care or not a Day really is ow
Yaint you for sharing this beautiful heart warming post
yeh-yum! (Welcome!) I am so glad that you appreciate them as much as I do. The time is swiftly ticking away and with each passing day, the words become more encased with defined precision… This is good, yes, but I will miss the innocence expressed.
This is just precious and a reminder that my 4-year-old was just doing this – I thought only yesterday – but I guess it’s been quite a bit longer… 🙂
Amen. And amen!
