I Sat And Mused Upon Your Day

I sat and mused upon your day
And soon was found, without delay
To hasten ‘midst the lofty ray
Your gilded beams aglow.

And in your radiant cradle there
My spirit thus was open bare
To gaze a sweetened, careful stare.
My love for you to show.

How is it that I am so blest,
A jealous object of the rest?
Your love and n’other are as best
Each day, as one, begin.

Let challenge come, all wars to fight,
Against the cold and darkened night
I’ll brave and scrap with all my might,
Your love, always, to win.
